How To Use Both Sides of Hang Tags Effectively
Product hang tags are not just one sided affairs. In fact, most
hang tag printing
these days include a front and the back to get the most important information out there for the consumers to read. I am here right now to guide you on how to use both sides of your hang tags effectively for your products. There are quite a few special tricks that you can use to get your hang tags really noticed.
- Adopting the wrap around image – The wrap around image is something that is commonly in use, and of course very effective. This technique involves printing a design that wraps around the hang tag, front to back. The effect will usually cause people to try to look at the whole design by looking at the front and then at the back of the color hang tag. By doing this, your potential customer will inadvertently get the full message as he or she reads around the hang tag. You just need to place the important parts in their proper areas.
- What’s in the dominant side – Now, double sided hang tag designs will usually have a dominant side and a supporting side. On the dominant side, you will of course have to print your product’s brand long and maybe your company logo as well. Moreover, it is also good to place a small marketing image for your product on this dominant side.
Typically for clothing hang tags for example, people will print photographs with the product in action. So it can be people wearing the clothes, or people using the product the proper way. All this must be placed at the dominant side so that you can attract people enough to be interested in using your product.
- What’s in the supporting side – On the supporting side on the other hand, it is good to put the specific details of your products that will be important for your customers. This includes the materials used in making the products, its dimensions, safety precautions and sometimes even product guarantees. People expect to see these things in your hang tag printing so that they can be assured of the product’s quality and details. While this is not the most popular side of the hang tag, it is the side that can give the final push when people are iffy about buying your product. So make sure you pay attention to this side as well and print all the important information that your potential customers may want.
- Managing a side’s paper quality – Since we have a dominant and a supporting side in hang tags, it is possible to manage each side’s paper quality for practicality’s sake. Most people print hang tags with glossy front covers and a simple uncoated back cover. The dominant side basically will look shiny and professional while the back will just be a simple and functional after thought. You can save a lot of money this way and still be effective with the use of your custom hang tags.
